Job Summary

Up to $15,000 SOB for qualified candidates, paid over 24 months

Time, Night

Position Summary:

The RN provides high quality, safe, cost effective, total nursing care to the Emergency/Trauma patient.

The RN assumes responsibility for overall coordination and integration of patient care based on need

of the patient and family members. The RN directs care according to established standards of safety,

risk management, IQ, Infection control, with the goal being to discharge the patient from the ED with

an optimum level of care provided

Responsibilities

  • Provides patients with an optimum level of care.
  • Facilitates compliance with evidenced based practice standards for core measures and National Patient Safety Goals
  • Safely administers blood and blood products per hospital policy. Utilizes appropriate interpersonal skills as outlined in the Standards of Conduct and in accordance with customer service initiatives.
  • Administers all medications safely and in a timely manner per hospital policy.

Qualifications

Education:

Minimum: Education recognized by the State of Florida as qualification for Registered Nurse licensure.

Experience:

Minimum: One (1) year experience in a Med/Surg area or

Preferred: Two (2) years’ experience in an Emergency Room setting

Required Certification/Licensure/Registration:

Registered Nurse - licensed in the State of Florida.

American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certification

PALS are required within one year of employment.

Hazmat Preferred, But Not Required

Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) required within six months of employment.

TNCC is required within 18 months of employment in the position. ENPC is strongly
